Who is Brent?
Hi everyone! My name is Brent and I am a Real Estate Broker, a music teacher, a consultant, a husband, a son, a cat owner, and a lover of food and drinks! Yes, I WISH I could eat all of the time – there is so much great food out there! I am excited to help you purchase or sell your home and I want us to have a great time along the way! I hope you’ll check out my upcoming blog as I journey my way through Portland and Southwest Washington finding all the great hot spots for you to checkout.
A little more about me:
- I am a detailed oriented person - which comes in handy in this business.
- Co-owner of two mildly obese gray cats that are annoying, hilarious and adorable all at the same time.
- I play the piano and the tuba, yes the tuba.
- I’m a stacker and an organizer – but not a cleaner
- I never forget song lyrics
- I am a radio harmonizer – when I’m alone in the car I sing loud and try to sing in harmony to the song.

Our Dream Home in the Trees-
My realtor Brent Johnson is the best! He tirelessly worked with me to find the perfect house. He is exceedingly professional and always on his game. He never made me wait. He was always available, and he did what he would say he was going to do 100% of the time! Thank you, Brent, for making our dream house become reality. You have a client for life!

Brent! Thank you! Wow! What can I say? It has been a week since I moved to my beautiful one-bedroom condo in Multnomah Village and it is thanks to you! It all started with a casual conversation about real state over dinner. I didn't even know where to start then. You put me in contact with the right people right away. I didn't even know at the time I could qualify to buy property, yet shortly after we were already looking at places, based on what I was approved and based on what we agreed. You were always looking out for my best interest.Whenever a deal did not meet my needs, you were honest. I loved that about you. You were assertive with the sellers and yet patient with me. You understood me when I had questions or felt doubtful. It took while to find the best place for me. Market is tough, for one, yet you took the time to show me different places. Then, we found my home! I have lived here for a week. I haven't felt this accomplished in a long time. This was a good purchase in more ways than one. You made my dream happen. Thank you!

Brent, Thanks for helping us through an extra challenging buyer, for keeping us updated on the process along the way. We appreciated your diligence in following through on our sale!

Brent was such a great guy to have in our corner while buying our home - available, dedicated, professional, tireless, frank and supportive. Buying a home in this Portland market can be pretty stressful but Brent knows the ins and outs well enough to make the process as smooth as possible. He was on the ball and always scoped out new listings to let us know before anyone else. Thanks to him, we were the first to see our new house and make a competitive offer before any other showings. We felt he had our backs in all transactions and that was really comforting for us.
Thanks Brent! We love our house and are so so pleased.

Buying a home is usually an emotional decision, and you need the counsel of a reputable, knowledgeable real estate professional who can help you buy wisely. As a first-time buyer, professional real estate assistance can be crucial. You should insist that the agent work with you as a "buyer's agent" to be your advocate in the transaction. In most cases, this agent is still paid out of the seller's commission paid at closing, so you will not pay extra to be represented by a good agent. See the suggestions for selecting a qualified agent; you do not have to be moving from one city to another to take advantage of these suggestions.
A good agent can help you evaluate the pros and cons of purchasing a single family home, condominium, or townhouse, and what the various types of ownership mean to you. Should you buy a resale home or new construction, and what kinds of inspections or warranties should you seek in each situation? When making an offer, how much below listing price can you offer, and how does the price compare to similar homes on the market? Are you negotiating terms and other costs (home warranty, for example) as well as price? What do you do if inspections uncover needed repairs? Are there any factors related to the house or neighborhood, which could create resale problems? What closing costs are considered typical?
Once you have settled on a community and seen several homes, the next step is to make an offer on a home you like. If you and the seller, with the negotiating help of your agent, come to terms and you execute a sales contract, you will then finalize your mortgage. The mortgage company will require a home inspection and a title search. You may have to coordinate your closing date based on when the seller can purchase another home and vacate.
